Where the Leather Comes From

At Annreal, every bag begins with material that already carries a life of its own. The studio works with discarded hides from old factories, vintage sofa leather, and deadstock remnants, pieces that might otherwise be forgotten or destroyed.

Each hide carries its own history, written into its marks, creases, and variations. Rather than concealing these traces, they are left visible to shape the character of each piece. By working with what already exists, Annreal aims to reduce waste and honour the material in full. Transforming what was left behind into something considered and enduring.

How the Bags Are Made

Every Annreal bag is handmade in Estonia with careful attention to detail. Shaped by hand from materials that already exist. Upcycled leathers are cut with intention, patterns considered so that as little as possible is left behind.

Metal components are drawn from both reclaimed and new sources, selected for their weight, tactility, and longevity rather than excess.

Pieces are assembled in small runs, often one at a time. The outcome is not a mass-produced object, but a long-term companion quietly gathering traces of use, softening and deepening as it is worn over time.
